UNION, Ky. —
One person was taken into custody after sheriff's deputies and a SWAT team served a search warrant at a home in a northern Kentucky neighborhood Tuesday.
It all unfolded around 3:30 p.m. when the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Station Lane in Union. Advertisement
The sheriff's office said a SWAT Team was activated to assist with the operation.
The resident of the home was taken into custody without incident.
The sheriff's office said the investigation focused on drug and firearms trafficking.
The department's crime suppression unit stayed on scene for several hours while executing the residential search warrant.
