COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Is your car ready for winter weather? Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is sharing several tips to get your vehicle ready before the snow comes.

Troopers said 84% of crashes investigated by the State Patrol last November involved some type of property damage.

“The first few snow and ice events of every season seem to create a bit of havoc on our roadways,” Col. Matthew C. Packard, chief of the Colorado State Patrol said. “In fact, November was our peak ‘winter-weather’ month for crashes last year, with troopers responding to over 2,030 crashes. It’s time for drivers to change their mindset and driving behaviors to match the road conditions.”
