Just before 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 6, deputies in Cornelius responded to a report of an explosive device being thrown at the door of a home on North 10th Avenue near Clark Street in Cornelius. On closer inspection, the 911 caller found evidence of gunfire as well.
Photos shared by WCSO show a door dented at the bottom lefthand side — presumably by the explosive — and sporting several bullet holes. No one was injured by either the explosion or gunfire, the agency said.
