PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Across Central Louisiana, communities came together to honor the men and women who have served our country on Nov. 11.
The Alexandria VA Health Care System hosted its annual Veterans Day celebration and parade, a time to reflect, celebrate and say thank you.
The parade featured local veterans’ groups, first responders and community organizations, all showing appreciation for those who’ve worn the uniform. Families, students and residents lined the streets to cheer, wave flags and show their gratitude.
“It’s just about shining a light on people who served in any of the branches,” said Peyton Miller.
“We honor what they did for us and how grateful we are to have them serve and protect us in every way possible,” added Rae Churchman.
