CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CNN) — Border Patrol agents will be deployed to Charlotte soon, according to three U.S. officials familiar with the planning.
The information comes as officials have been vocal about eyeing other locations to ramp up arrests.
The deployment of agents, led by Gregory Bovino, is part of President Donald Trump’s effort to surge federal law enforcement into cities and states, regardless of whether local officials support the move.
