PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in south Phoenix on Tuesday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the area of 28th Street and Broadway Road on reports of a man who was hit by a car, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers found an injured man in the roadway, according to Phoenix Police. He was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene, and authorities do not believe they were impaired.
The area of 28th Street and Broadway will be closed down for a while while detectives investigate what caused the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
