On Tuesday, Nov. 11 the Dallas Mavericks fired general manager and president of basketball operations Nico Harrison following the team's 3-8 start to the 2025-26 season.

“This decision reflects our continued commitment to building a championship-caliber organization, one that delivers for our players, our partners, and most importantly, our fans,” Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont said in a statement. With Harrison gone, the Mavericks appointed Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi as co-interim general managers to oversee basketball operations while a "comprehensive search will begin for a permanent replacement."
