Fast-food giant Wendy's is planning to shutter hundreds of stores nationwide to improve underperforming restaurants and elevate the brand.

Interim CEO Ken Cook told investors on Nov. 7 that the company expects to close roughly 240 to 360 stores, with close to 6,000 locations still operating nationwide.
