TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva will be sworn in on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson’s office said it would happen on the House floor around 2 p.m. Arizona time.
Grijalva won the special election in September, but was not sworn in. Johnson has said the delay was due to the shutdown, which could be ending this week. The Senate has already approved a bill and sent it to the House.
Johnson has denied the delay was due to Grijalva being the final vote needed to possibly force the release of the Epstein files.
