KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Kearney man will be sentenced in January for weapons and theft convictions.
Court records show 28-year-old Anthony Adams pled no contest and was convicted of felony attempted discharge of a firearm in a city and possession of a stolen gun and misdemeanor theft and obstruction.
He’ll be sentenced Jan. 2.
Court records show Kearney police were called to 15th Street and Avenue A on April 20 after a report of gunshots in the neighborhood. Police later found Adams, carrying a black bag near east Eighth Street and B Avenue.
Police say Adams dropped the bag and ran away. They arrested him a short time later after using a taser.
