NANTICOKE — 47 years after graduating from Luzerne County Community College, Frank Carden finally received his diploma.
The retired U.S. Marine Corps master gunnery sergeant, who enrolled at LCCC after serving in Vietnam, was the featured speaker at the school’s annual Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday.
LCCC President John Yudichak welcomed attendees and shared a story that became the heart of this year’s ceremony — the story of Carden and his service to his country and his time at LCCC.
