A warning for some shoreline towns and some in the lower Connecticut River Valley.

A string of car thefts is being investigated by Old Saybrook Police, and now they are offering warnings.

“Over the course of the last week there were two instances of car break ins,” Owen Gade, whose neighborhood was targeted, said.

He lives across the street from a home whose car was hit.

“Fortunately I didn’t have my car broken into, but I know there is a group of five guys that are running around looking for cars that unlocked and rifling through them,” Gade said.
