(WNDU) - Ten thousand homes will have a turkey on their table this Thanksgiving through the annual Turkeys on the Table Challenge, a partnership between WNDU and the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

The challenge takes on special meaning as food prices remain high, and families face economic challenges.

“I think it’s awesome that people get together to do this because food prices are so high, as you know. Times are a little bit tough here and I really appreciate it,” said one recipient at a distribution site.

Dozens of community partners are hosting distribution sites in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. Jordan Ford is among the businesses participating in turkey distribution.
