Long plagued by potholes and cracked pavement, the roads around the Pittsburgh Mills Mall are about to get a makeover, Frazer Township officials announced.
If weather permits, drivers in the area should plan for lane closures on Village Center Drive and Galleria Drive next week as crews begin repaving the surrounding roads in three phases.
The project comes after hundreds of code violations have been issued against the mall’s owner, New York-based Namdar Realty Group, which purchased the complex in 2018 for $11.35 million.
The group has had a tense relationship with township officials in the years since, largely over the deteriorating condition of the privately owned roads surrounding the property.
