A Qantas flight has been forced to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Adelaide.
The Canberra-bound flight departed about 6.10am on Wednesday, but was only briefly in the air before the plane reportedly filled with smoke, forcing a return to Adelaide Airport.
The pilots made a PAN declaration to air traffic control and the plane landed a short time later.
All passengers and crew safely disembarked.
A Qantas spokeswoman told NewsWire the company’s engineers would check the e190 aircraft on Wednesday.
Three Liberal politicians were on-board the flight - including South Australian senator Leah Blyth - ahead of the party’s crucial meeting on net zero on Wednesday.
