OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KY3) - The city unveiled a new veterans memorial on Veterans Day, marking the completion of a project several years in the making.
The memorial stands in front of city hall, featuring flags from the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard that circle the centerpiece. Red bricks etched with veterans’ names fill the circle.

“I’m proud of what happened here. Really am,” said Jerry Spurgeon, an Army veteran.
Army veteran Ed Kolb said the memorial holds special meaning for his family.
“I have my son, my three brothers, and my father. We all got bricks over there and they’ll be here forever,” Kolb said.
