Folks flocked to Bangor and Brewer to join the community in honoring those who fought for our country.
Bangor's Veterans' Day parade allowed those in attendance to show appreciation for our veteran's and future servicemen. Led by a police escort, the parade featured local veterans, ROTC students from neighboring schools, and various veteran-based organizations.
"I think it's an important thing for the kids for everybody to learn about the sacrifice that everybody gave to promote freedom," said Army veteran Bill Riley.
The parade began this morning in brewer and ended in downtown Bangor. People filled the streets in anticipation of the event, either propped up in lawn chairs, bundled in a blanket, or waving the American flag. Everyone in attendance shared the same goal: to celebrate thos
