BURLINGTON, N.C. — After years of work, a North Carolina story rooted in faith, family, and determination is finally lighting up the big screen.

“More Than Able,” the latest film from executive producer Cornelius Muller , tells the true story of “Buddy,” an Alamance County man born with cerebral palsy whose life has inspired countless others.

“More than Able—it’s a story about a local guy that had cerebral palsy,” Muller said. “His mom died giving birth, and the doctor said he wasn’t worth saving. But his grandmother stepped in—and here we are. He ends up having a long life."

Now 81 years young, Buddy’s resilience became the foundation of a feature film that’s both heartfelt and homegrown.
