A potential deal is on the horizon that could end the longest federal government shutdown in history, but flights are still being canceled across the country.

Starting Tuesday, there’s a 6 percent reduction in flights at 40 different airports across the country because of the government shutdown and that increases to 10 percent on Friday.

Bradley International Airport is not on the list of affected airports, but the impacts are being felt here as well.
