There has been a lot of speculation about what changes the Boston Red Sox need to make this offseason, but chief baseball officer Craig Breslow left nothing to the imagination.
Despite a disappointing loss to the New York Yankees in the first round of the playoffs, the Red Sox had an overall positive season and are clearly trending in the right direction after returning to the postseason for the first time since 2021. The Red Sox will have decisions on players like Alex Bregman in free agency, but the team has other priorities they plan to address this offseason.
While speaking to the media ahead of the beginning of the General Managers Meetings, Breslow emphasized how Boston only plans to target a high-end, No. 2 starter for its rotation to pair with southpaw ace Garrett Crochet.
