Marshawn Kneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, has made her first public comments since his tragic death on Thursday.

Last week, heartbreaking news broke that Marshawn Kneeland had died at the age of 24. Kneeland was found deceased from a self-inflicted shotgun wound in the early hours of Thursday morning after a police chase.

According to the Frisco Police Department, their officers assisted in locating a vehicle that escaped troopers at 10:39 p.m. on Wednesday. The vehicle had crashed and was deserted, with Kneeland fleeing on foot. After being told that he had “expressed suicidal ideations”, officers eventually found Kneeland dead at 1:31 a.m. Kneeland was in his second season with the Cowboys.
