INDIANAPOLIS — Tuesday marked the first day when some Hoosiers could see their SNAP benefits partially return. 

For Don Dobbs, he tries to fill the rest of the gap at the food pantry where he works, Humble Love. He spends every Tuesday unloading a truck and preparing for the line out the door for the next day.

"They're people that are working every day of the week and they still can't afford to buy groceries. So, you know that that extra assistance that they're receiving, that's all they have," Dobbs said. "So, it's like when that's taken away abruptly. They're not expecting it."

Dobbs said the number of people they help keeps growing.

"We can't fulfill what SNAP was doing," he said.
