ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — Tuesday marks Veterans Day around the country and to honor that, several schools held ceremonies to honor members of the services' sacrifice.

Rockford Public Schools hosted several events, including assemblies, ceremonies by different schools' JROTCs, and a presentation of a handmade gift to veterans by Auburn High School students.
