COLLINWOOD, Tenn. (WSMV) - Historic military uniforms, a wall filled with veterans’ names and a replica of a fighter jet are among the monuments at a Veterans Day display that drew emotional reactions from crowds of visitors.
The sprawling display might sound like something seen at a museum or even in the nation’s capital. But the detailed dedication is in neither of those places; It’s in a Middle Tennessee man’s front yard.
Stan Hanback worked for weeks to erect a yard full of exhibits honoring those who have served the country. On the grass dotted with flags is also a monument for prisoners of war and a military Jeep, which was donated for the presentation.
And on a wall bordering half his front lawn, the Collinwood man also meticulously wrote the names of more than 1,500 people, many
