MARINELAND, Fla. — It looks like Marineland Dolphin Adventure may stay a dolphin park after all.
Tuesday afternoon, the results of Monday’s auction were made public through documents on the bankruptcy court’s website. They show the group that wants to save Marineland is the successful bidder for the park.
Those documents indicate that, of the three bidders for the Marineland Dolphin Adventure property in Flagler County, Apex Association was named the "successful" and the highest bidder.
The Apex Association is a collective of former Marineland General Manager Felicia Cook, dolphin researcher Jack Kassewitz, and Barbara and Jon Rubel. The Rubels are the benefactors who helped put up the money.
