HUNTSVILLE — On Tuesday afternoon, U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) spoke to reporters in Huntsville about the record-length government shutdown and its direct connection to Democratic hatred of President Donald Trump.
The lawmaker noted that the continuous resolution Republicans unsuccessfully introduced to keep the government open was passed a dozen times by Democrats during the Biden administration. Strong says the difference in the outcome of the Republican introduced resolution came down to one factor.
"There was no sense in this government shutdown. 13 times Democrats and Republicans had voted together under the Biden administration to do a clean CR and for some reason, they hate Donald Trump with every fiber in them," Strong said. "And so whether it's good, whether it's not go
