Yoav Gallant

A pro-Palestinian protest was apparently underway Tuesday evening, Nov 11, outside of a North Jersey Chabad house where former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was set to speak.

Video of protestors arriving to the event at the Livingston Chabad on W. Mount Pleasant Avenue was shared to Instagram by Wheel of Palestine.

The demonstration, organized by NJ PalAction and several allied activist groups, was set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Organizers have urged participants to bring flashlights, noisemakers, and banners, and to keep a “united front” while avoiding “agitators.”

The ICC says Gallant is responsible of war crimes of "starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts" for the war in Gaza between at least Oct. 8, 2023 and May 20, 2024.

Gallant served as Israel's minister of defense between 2022 and 2024.
