BUFFALO, W.Va. (WSAZ) - In Buffalo, snow created both beautiful scenery and some slick spots on the roads.

At the boat dock and picnic area, a layer of snow coated the grass, fence, and swings.

The local playground was also covered in snow and ice.

Bill Severn works down the road at Blankenship Grocery.

“In the grocery business, when you hear the word ‘snow,’ that usually means “busy,” Severn said. “But I woke up this morning and from my driveway to almost this door was a solid sheet of ice.”

He said that the roads were slick on his way into work Tuesday morning, so he had to take it slow.

“There were times I was 15 miles an hour,” Severn said. “I drive a pickup truck, and I give it some gas, and the rear end wants to come out a little bit, but it was fine. As long as you just don’t
