A suspect has been charged with five felonies after a shooting at Trims Unlimited, 3863 South Michigan 53, in Almont left a 30-year-old employee dead.

The shooting victim was a husband, expecting father, lifelong Grand Blanc community member and a middle school football coach, according to his online obituary.

A 32-year-old Columbus, Michigan, man has been charged with five felonies after a workplace shooting at Trims Unlimited in Almont on Wednesday, Nov. 5, left a 30-year-old from Columbus Township dead, according to police.

Around 8:30 a.m., the 32-year-old entered the business and was involved in a workplace shooting. William Channer III has been identified as the suspect and was charged with one count of first-degree murder, three weapons charges, including possession of weapons
