Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class is now down to 16 names.

Defensive lineman Isaac Chukwurah flipped his commitment to Miami (FL) on Tuesday night . The Bear, Delaware, native had been committed to the Nittany Lions since April 22.

Chukuwrah ranks as a three-star and the No. 506 player in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He profiles as a defensive tackle at the next level thanks to a 6-2, 260-pound frame that could fill out.

When Chukwurah committed to Penn State, he labeled the Nittany Lions as his “dream school .”

But James Franklin’s firing on Oct. 12 has led Chukwurah and virtually all of the Lions’ commits to reconsider their situations. Penn State had 25 players verbally pledged when the university fired Franklin.
