WASHINGTON — Woody, Buzz and the rest of the "Toy Story" gang are returning this summer to take on a new foe: big tech.
Disney and Pixar released the first teaser trailer for "Toy Story 5" on Tuesday, almost 30 years to the day after the original animated film premiered in November 1995.
The sequel, set for theatrical release June 19, 2026, introduces Lilypad, a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee that represents a new threat to playtime as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their fellow toys confront the modern world's obsession with electronics.
