MOSINEE, Wis. (WAOW) - As the government shutdown drags on, air traffic controllers will now be missing their second paycheck, raising concerns over flight operations and safety.
Today, Secretary of transportation Sean Duffy stopped by the central Wisconsin airport, addressing those concerns.
Duffy of course, previously served as a member of the house of representatives for northern Wisconsin.
Today, air traffic controllers missed their second paycheck since the government shutdown and the uncertainty is putting pressure on both them as well as flight operations, all across the country.
To address the challenges, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy says the department has begun implementing a 10 percent flight reduction plan.
