One of Canberra's most expensive schools has dramatically increased spending on interest and administration expenses over the past two years.

Over the past decade Radford College has consistently reported more than $1 million surplus, with the exception of 2024 when the school was in deficit $840,000.

The school said the 2024 deficit was the reason for a 23 per cent increase in school fees, with some multi-children families needing to find an additional $1000 a month to make up the increase.

On average, the college's revenue has increased by 5.6 per cent a year.

In 2024 the school brought in almost $60 million, 84 per cent of this was for providing goods and services.
