Residents at Bozeman Lodge, an assisted living facility on Hunters Way, reflected on their years in uniform during a lunch hosted by the senior center honoring U.S. Armed Forces service members on Veteran’s Day.

Tunes including the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag” playing from a piano filled the dining room. Veterans shared memories and the meaning of service.

“I got to travel a lot, see a lot of different countries and different people,” said resident veteran Mark Huebert, 64, who served in the Navy from 1978-1983, and in the Air Force from 1983 until 1998 when he retired. “I wish I’d stayed longer in the Navy to see more places.”
