MOYOCK, N.C. — Some people living in Moyock were looking for answers on Tuesday after their water was shut off for days.
13News Now spoke with one member of the management team at the Carolina Village Mobile Home Community, and they confirmed the water was off for three days in every home in the Carolina Village Mobile Home Community, but has now come back on. They attributed the problem to a power surge that broke the community’s well pump.
Rachel Rutherford, a woman who lives in the community, claimed she did not have a single drop of water in her home during the outage. Without water, she said she could not shower, wash her hands or even wash the dishes.
“Yesterday I had to go outside and get some rainwater just to put it in my toilet and flush it,” Rutherford said.
