LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Texas Tech Red Raiders are now ranked at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night.
The Red Raiders were previously ranked at No. 8 prior to taking down then-ranked No. 7 BYU in a dominate win in Lubbock, showcased to the entire college football world on ESPN.
If the season ended today, Texas Tech would host No. 11 Miami (FL).
Texas Tech is now the leader in the Big 12 Conference and controls its destiny. The Red Raiders final regular season home game is set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff against the UCF Knights at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.
