QUAD CITIES, IA/IL — Quad Cities communities spent Veterans Day showing their appreciation for local veterans through parades and ceremonies across the region.
One of those celebrations was the annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Davenport. People bundled up to watch the color guard, bands and patriotic displays to celebrate men and women who have served and sacrificed for the country.
Silvis honors Hero Street legacy
Celebrations were also underway in Silvis, where the city held their annual Veterans Day ceremony. It was held by the Hero Street Monument, which honors more than 100 men and women from Hero Street who have served the country.
