JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Downtown Jacksonville was filled with red, white, and blue on Tuesday as thousands gathered for the city’s annual Veterans Day Parade — one of the largest in Florida. The event brought together veterans, city leaders, military families, and community members to honor those who’ve served and sacrificed for the country.

More than 2,500 participants march every year, including active-duty troops, retired service members, local organizations, and high school bands. The parade, a long-standing tradition in Jacksonville, featured floats, marching units, and military vehicles that rolled through the streets as families waved American flags and cheered from the sidewalks.

Among those in attendance was World War II veteran Dale Butts, joined by his wife, Mary Anne.
