The Texas Tech basketball team will try to score a key nonconference win today when the Red Raiders visit Illinois.

The 11th-ranked Red Raiders and the 14th-ranked Fighting Illini are each 2-0 on the season, having won in blowout fashion. Texas Tech has scored 98 points in each of its first two games while Illinois has dropped 113 in back-to-back contests to open the 2025-26 campaign.
