More Six Flags theme parks are on the chopping block following the release of its quarterly report on Friday, Nov. 7.
Six Flags executives made the announcement after the company posted a $1.2 billion loss over three months, according to the company.
“Our efforts to stimulate demand did not achieve the desired returns, and our decision to shift to more advertising spend earlier in the year in an effort to drive consumer awareness further impacted third quarter results, particularly at our underperforming parks,” president and CEO Richard Zimmerman said in the press release.
The executives shared the news not long after Six Flags America, which was located in Bowie, Md., closed for good on Nov. 2.
Hurricane Harbor Maryland also shut down, as well.
