Primary producer Colin McCrabb, Wanganella, discovered pigs were causing issues with predation of ewes and lambs in 2023, so he reached out to his Local Land Services for advice.

After getting involved in the feral pest and pig program, he initially set up traps but this has since grown to a permanent baiting station with real-time monitoring.

He was surprised with the number of pigs uncovered.
