DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks have fired general manager Nico Harrison after a disappointing 3–7 start to the 2025–26 NBA season.

The team released statements regarding Harrison's departure after reportedly meeting with him on Tuesday morning.

Assistant GMs Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi will take over on an interim basis. The Mavericks have not yet named a permanent replacement.

What they're saying:

"This decision reflects our continued commitment to building a championship-caliber organization, one that delivers for our players, our partners, and most importantly, our fans," Mavs Governor Patrick Dumont said in a statement.

Dumont also shared a letter to all Mavs fans.
