TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The transition from active duty to a college campus can be jarring for student veterans.

The National Institute of Health warns that student service members and veterans struggle adjusting to campus life, building routines, and interacting with faculty and peers.

The University of Arizona addresses these challenges through comprehensive support systems that serve more than 5,000 military-connected students. US News and World Report ranks the university among the top 100 schools for veterans, with the school making the Military Times’ top five in 2024.
