GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Deputies are searching for a suspect after a shooting left one person injured in Greenville, South Carolina, on Tuesday night.

Around 6:45 p.m., Greenville County Emergency Communications received a 911 call regarding a gunshot victim at a home on East Belvedere Road.

Deputies discovered the victim got into an altercation with a man, which escalated into a shooting.

Authorities said the suspect attempted to drive the victim to the hospital. However, the suspect dropped the victim off on White Horse Road where deputies later found the victim and transported him to the hospital.

The suspect has been identified and an active search is underway. Investigators ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME.
