Toronto Blue Jays skipper John Schneider will have to settle for being a finalist in the American League manager of the year voting.

He finished second behind Stephen Vogt of the Cleveland Guardians in voting by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.

Vogt picked up 17 of 30 first-place votes and had 113 points overall. Schneider had 10 first-place votes and 91 points.
