NEW ORLEANS —

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in Central City.

Police were called to the 2100 block of South Claiborne around 6:35 p.m. Advertisement

According to NOPD, one man was found with at least one gunshot wound to the body.

He was transported to a local hospital by EMS, where he later died.

No other information has been provided at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
