Sony held a State of Play event on Tuesday, focusing on new PS5 game releases for Japan and Asia. While it's likely most of the games showcased will eventually make their way to the US, the company made a surprise reveal of a new PlayStation-branded gaming monitor .

Revealed at the end of the show, the PlayStation monitor has a 27-inch QHD IPS display that reaches up to 240Hz when connected to a PC and 120Hz when connected to a PS5, and it's coming out next year. The monitor also has the unique feature of a hook below the monitor that can both hold and charge a PS5 DualSense controller.
