Why isn't Maddy McDaniel playing tonight?

Maddy McDaniel isn't injured. Rather, she's suspended.

South Carolina announced her suspension shortly before the game.

"Maddy McDaniel will not be at tonight's game. She has been suspended," South Carolina wrote on social media .
