BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
The Birmingham Police Department announced an arrest in the third homicide case from last weekend.
According to a news release, Benjamin Williams, 33, of Birmingham, was arrested Monday and charged with capital murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
The shooting happened late Saturday in the 1800 block of Henry Crumpton Drive, in the Powderly community.
Two people were shot inside a vehicle, resulting in the death of Jeremiah Stone, 31, and injuring the other person, police said.
Williams remains in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
