EVERETT, Wash. — Everett police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a 71-year-old man whose body was discovered Nov. 6 in a downtown Everett alley. The man had previously been reported missing. The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
The body of 71-year-old Daniel Lytton was discovered wrapped in a blanket and duct tape in an alley between Grand and Rucker avenues. Detectives say Lytton had been reported missing on Nov. 5 after he was last seen near the 2600 block of Grand Avenue. At the time, he was wearing cargo pants, a dark shirt, and sneakers.
The discovery came just a day after his disappearance, when people walking by the alley spotted the body.
